Lisa Peterson, who has accumulated more than 17 years of experience as an administrator of collegiate athletics at three different major Division 1 institutions, has been named senior athletic director at Oregon by Athletic Director Rob Mullens. Peterson fills the vacancy created when Renee Baumgartner assumed a position at Syracuse University this summer.
The former senior athletic director for internal operations and senior women administrator at the University of Kentucky, Peterson will oversee women’s basketball, volleyball, softball, lacrosse and acrobatics and tumbling, in addition to managing the Ducks’ athletic medicine and computer information technology departments and direct UO championship competitions and be heavily involved as the University’s liaison with the Pac-12 and NCAA.
Her professional experience includes administrative positions at the University of Miami, five years at Maryland and nine at Kentucky. |
