RECRUITING IS ALWAYS ON THE COACHES’ AGENDA
During the season, September 1 until December 1, the entire coaching staff off are limited to a total of 42 off campus evaluations. As an example, during a bye weekend five coaches could make a total 21 off campus visits, one half of what is allowed for the three months.
Official campus visits are allowed, usually on a home game weekend. One phone call to each recruit is allowed weekly with unlimited correspondence and emails. Starting in December there are off campus student-athlete home visit contacts until the holiday dead period. In January there is much recruiting activity except during the coaches’ convention. Wednesday, February 1 is Letter-of-Intent Signing Day. As always, there is no contact of prospects by alumni or supporters.
