IT’S ALMOST FOOTBALL FALL CAMP TIME
Chip Kelly and David Paulson represented the Ducks at the July 26 Los Angeles Pac-12 Media Day where the media selected Oregon to win a third straight 2011 Championship. Chip Kelly was mentioned as a top national and Pac-12 coach.
Director of Football Operations Jeff Hawkins advises that “Compliance has estimated that we would have our newcomers arrive on Saturday, August 6 and veterans Sunday, August 7 and the first practice would be tentatively set for Monday August 8.” Usually practice in pads doesn’t start until the 4th day. The coaches will have returned from vacations two weeks prior.
While the returning veterans will receive the most attention, the highly ranked recruiting class will also receive media attention.
